It's broken!

I have to appoligive to all you guys!
Oh my gosh, I feel like I have let my blog go a little since the holidays...
I have been crafting though..I have some more fun valentine's things, some fun birthday things..
Yep, and I have taken pictures and everything.
and
then my laptop...
{not just A LAPTOP...Like, this thing-y has my "everything" on it}
has decided it won't hold a charge. I can't get it to even turn on.
UGH!
So, I am stealing hubbies while he is at work, and I was given instructions "to not download anything, that will clutter up his laptop!"

Well, honey...I can't even get anything off my laptop.
Uhh,cause ot won't even turn on and besides, I like mine better anyway!

So, the plan is to take it to a computer guy and see if he can get it working!
Hopefully, I will be back soon!

I'm skipping the parties this week
. But...I wanted to share this super funny blogpost I read earlier today!
Natalie at Nat Sprat has such a fun blog...
You guys, I am still laughing thinking aout it, because this girlie is Hilarious! You have to stop over and read it! Nat Sprat

HUGS

Hey guys!

So, I'm sure you've all seen the scrabble art that has been around for a while.

Well, Since last year I had been looking for those scrabble games at the thrift store.
I was looking for probably at least six months!
I was about ready to forget the thrift store and just go buy a new one, Ha!

Anyway, I ended up scoring TWO...not just one...but TWO

I paid $2.50 for each one. I was so excited!

Looky what I made...

I call it my Hugs frame.

This took me like two minutes to make.

The frame came from the DI. The paper was actually scrap card stock that I had leftover
. (I double heart it, because it's glittery!)
I glued the scrabble letters onto the glitter paper, painted the frame and sanded the edges lightly and there you have it... A hug frame!

Perfect for Valentine's Day!

Valentine Countdown

Last year  Your Creative Juices did a really cute valentine countdown using a muffin tin.
The thing was...I didn't want to go out and buy a muffin tin. I have one, but I didn't want to use the one I cook with...I mean...it's not exactly "Put out as decor and let everyone see it!"

I LOVED it though so, I went and bought  two six muffin tins from the dollar store.  The plan was to tie the the tins together so that they could hang.

AWESOME!

Well, then... I had this brilliant idea to spray paint them pink too!
Yeah, that lasted like two seconds...
it's cold here in Utah and I don't want to wait forever for the paint to dry.

OK..so I won't paint them, no biggie.

Then I get into my scrapbook paper stash and I don't have any "Valentine-y" cute paper.

Seriously?!

So, I put the tins and the candy that I picked up at Winco in one of my craft drawer cubbie things...for another day.

Well..fast forward to "another day."  I am in the dollar store.

I see these cute valentine ziploc bags.
Then I remember that I have a bunch of different bags that I picked up at Target last year on clearance after Valentine's Day for $.10.
Nifty Thrifty Things  made a super cute advent calendar at Christmas time using clothes pins and paper bags.

So, I picked up the clothespins came home and opened the drawer that I stuck the candy and tins into and saw that I already had tins!

THAT I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT!

Really?  Please tell me that I'm not the only one who has done this!?

The tins are now being saved for "another day" again.

OK, so....
Here's my version of the two put together!

Here's what I did!

1. All the supplies:
2. Printed the numbers from Your Creative Juices cut them out with a 1 1/2 inch circle punch
3. Some of the numbers were closer together so they weren't a perfect circle.  I cut out scrapbook paper circles to put behind them.
4. I used pink paper and cut out 1 1/2" X 3" rectangle pieces
5. I took my bags and cut them down to 7"
6. These are what they looked like smaller
7. I took two glitter Styrofoam hearts that I pulled off of the plastic stem  (from the dollar store) and used my glue gun to glue them to the tops of the pins that would hold the ribbon/bags up. Where the stems "used" to be, I used a dab of glue and added glitter so you couldn't see the Styrofoam.
8. The bags all cut, numbers glued on, and embellished and ADD THE CANDY!
9. I used modpodge to glue the clothes pins to the scrapbook paper.  When it was dry, I cut around the paper, lightly sanded the edges, tied a brown ribbon on seven of them and a pink one onto the other seven.
( I wanted to alternate the colors.

I folded the tops of the paper bags down about a inch, and then used the clothes pins to hang them
I found the cute "hugs and kisses" ribbon at the dollar store and I wanted to be sure that I could see that cuteness, so I put the folded top of the bag behind the ribbon when I pined it.

I kinda liked how it turned out!

What do you think?

This is the part I usually don't show you guys.

Oh, boy....

Have a great day!

Craisin Pancakes

I have to share this yumminess that I made over Christmas break for my sweeties.
These were so yummy, almost like a little mini cake!
I added some chocolate chips to ours, but, I think next time I'll just do the craisins.

I will definitely be making these again!

Craisin Pancakes

3/4 C. pulp-free orange juice or milk
1 C. all purpose flour
2 T.white sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 t. vanilla
1 c. craisins
cooking spray

Preheat griddle to 250 degrees, lightly coat with cooking spray
In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon
gently beat egg. Add to dry ingredients. Add orange juice and vanilla until combined. Fold in craisins.  Pour 1/4 cupfuls of batter on preheated griddle, cook until bubbles appear on top of pancakes then flip and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes more until golden brown.

Makes 12 pancakes

The only thing I did different was cut the 1 c. craisins to 1/2 c. and added 1/2 c. chocolate chips.  I dusted them with powdered sugar and then a  good amount of the whipped cream.

What would you put on top of yours?  I didn't think the maple syrup would taste too good...
What do you think?
